Casa Carmela, a great house in the best-preserved village of the Alpujarras.
It has just been restored, lovingly preserving its features, with comfort and beauty in mind.
The views are spectacular and it’s huge terrace is a joy to dine in and lounge around. It is a large and spacious house with 4 living areas and 3 bedrooms.

We have decorated the house with choice pieces, many of which are antiques, rather than clutter her with lots of furniture. We hope you feel very comfortable and that the rooms feel light and spacious.
The ceiling and walls are painted with natural lime so that the walls can breath, the roof has been insulated this winter, and the difference was huge, it feels warmer in the cold months and cooler in the hot ones, a great success.
The south facing terrace is our favourite room in the house, it’s very large and its views are wonderful. It offers a very good large shaded area and a large sunny area too where to enjoy long hours of sun in the winter. It is South facing, but looks East and West too.
It has been furnished with all cooking and dining utensils, plus some essential cooking condiments like olive oil and herbs. Please ask if there’s anything you need specifically. Matilde will be available for all your questions when she meets you and gives you the keys.
Due to COVID we also offer a key pick up, so you do not have to meet anyone if you don’t wish to. The house will be impeccably cleaned after every guest.
It’s easy to get around, you can walk to all the nearby villages through the beautiful paths. Or you can drive there in a few minutes.
The parking is free and at the entrance of the village, 2 minutes from the house. Atalbeitar is a no car zone, a paradise for children’s games!
